Inspiration Vs. Perspiration: Persian Girls at War

Recently, a friend – whose name we can’t share with you, but we’ll call her Yassi in this post – told us a story that got us thinking.

Yassi, a fabulous artist on the rise, attended a close friend’s event last week, and saw not one but, many of her unique ideas – bluntly copied without even a hint of acknowledgment. Not verbal. Not written.

As she shared the news, Yassi’s eyes said that she had already declared social war on the person she felt so betrayed by.

To comfort her, we told Yassi that we are always flattered when and if a friend (even a foe) is inspired by our choices, but we too tend to get slightly hot and bothered (hence the reference to perspiration) when a friend - especially a friend - decides to openly copy-paste our ideas whilst denying us any credit.
